OT but in regards to taking screenshots

When I take screenshots they save as .tga files that my comp can't read. Any way to save them as say a .bmp or .jpg? Or any software that will read .tga files?

You can open them with Paint Shop Pro for example.

The standard install of Quicktime that you can get off the internet for free comes with a program called "PictureViewer". It can let you see .tga files and copy the image into another program like MS Paint where you can then save in .jpeg or .bmp.

Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro can read .tga files and save them as anything too.

Download Irfanview. It can show almost all types of images. Also download "All plugins"-package.

Since I am not doing any graphical work, I don't need Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, free Irfanview is then handy.

Or everyone could just post screen shots in a sane format.
