New B5 Mod - B5 I've found her

I was just recently looking at The First Ones web page when I came across something new. There is a site for a new freeware game that is being developed. It looks rather good judging from the screne shots and promises alot. I was just wondering what other people thought of it. (PS, I dont want this turning into a The Babylon Project Vs Babylon 5 - I've found her debate).

It looks promising, especially as they are writing their own engine that is based upon Newtonian physics. The graphics look good, but they have been a long time in development and may be a good while longer before they release anything substantial. The alpha tech demo is now old hat but shows a glimse of what they hope to achieve.

Can't wait for them to reach a point where they have a game to release

IFH new? C'mon, they've been around almost as long as we have.

And actually they should be releasing a new demo in quite near future.

True, I just saw that. End of January they say.

i like to think all b5 modders can help one another its a community thing

yes it will be good, but how good? im not yet sure, playability wise i think they'll be hard pressed to beat the babylon projects next release, which will add much needed variety. however should they continue they should eventually out shine our mod in every respect, as they have no limitations

but for ease or mission building.....ahh thats a long time coming for them and its our current ace in the hole

actually u would be surprise how many limits they could have
remeber that the Olympus model they have is almost 5000p this of the texture size, think of other ships ..think of sound engine..not to mention the AI routines(with will take a large part of it..) and lots of stuff...makeing own engine can be very tricky
