Ship selection icons

After over half year of lurking I can play this incredible TC and I'd like to thank you for making this. This comes little late because I was in vacation this week and I was unable to post.

I have some questions:

I found out that ships.tbl has wrong filenames in $Ship_icon: and $Ship_overhead:. That's why ship icons in ship selection won't show and it caused FS2 to crash when you tried to change ships.

Loadout readme says that ship overhead is example: $Ship_overhead: load-starfury
Still MODs ship table have different entrys:
$Ship_icon: auroraicon01
$Ship_overhead: auroratop01

Icons should work(worked for me) if you change those entrys to:
$Ship_icon: starfury
$Ship_overhead: load-starfury

Then change zephyr and nial as well.
Zephyr:
$Ship_icon: zephyr
$Ship_overhead: load-zephyr
Nial:
$Ship_icon: nial
$Ship_overhead: load-nial

First question is have above done accidentally or for some purpose?

Other question is why 2_load-starfury won't work? It reads in loadout readme and should be hi-res picture for load-starfury. Or does game use picture depending what resolution you use and you don't have to put 2_ manually? I use 1024*768 and I tried both entrys. Only load-starfury worked.

I think thats all for now. See ya.

Strange that ships.tbl has wrong filenames when right files still existed.

Just changed it, too... Thanks for this post!

Changed it for the Lintira Shuttle as well because it's flyable and because it's in one of TS_Shadow's missions.

PS: This was the first time I had a look into the ships.tbl-File... Result: I just flew some kind of "Ranger Custom Starfury Fighter"... I love those neutron guns!

PPS: My FS2 didn't crash... I simply didn't see the icons/images, but I could change ships and weapons though.

data/tables ... that's what I call pure logic!

PS: Just found the loadout readme in the extras folder... It's interesting that it says something about editing the ships.tbl and gives the example for "load-starfury" but does only explain, that "load_starfury" is 640*480 and "2_load-starfury" is 1024*768... Nothing about the fact that all loadoutscreen-filenames were wrong in general. Strange thing...

I changed Lintira too. My FS2 did crash if I pressed in place where icon should be. I could also change weapons but not ships.

Now everything works.

Strange that "2_load-starfury" won't work even though I use 1024.

I changed the ships.tbl to load-starfury and my game is set to 1024*768 ...

Now I just had a look at the two images 2_load and load...
I compared it with the one used in the game. If you look at the distance between the symbols for the missile ports, you will see that FS2: TBP automatically uses the high resolution version...

I think if you type in 2_load-starfury, the program will look for 2_2_load-starfury as it has been set to use the high resolution versions!

Accidentally. We had some issues with the naming of the pics, and accidently ships.tbl had invalid references. Will be fixed soonish.

2_load_starfury works. In the ships.tbl, you'll only put the name of the 640x480 version. The game automatically adds "2_" in front of the name to find the 1024x768 version.
