Rutarian Fighter

I saw on the main site something about the Centauri Rutarian Fighter but, I can't seem to find any information on it!

When was this fighter ever in B5, or is it a custom vessel like the BlueStar?

It's a AOG model. It wasn't in the show as far as I know.

The Rutarian is A very large crecent shaped fighter with downward angles blade shaped wings. It has EXTREMELY heavy armament for a fighter. Duel plasma cannons for dogfighting and a heavy Ion cannon mounted on the nose that causes a great deal of damage to enemy capitol ships. These weapons draw from the same power soucre so only one can be fired at a time.

Thethe Rutarian also has stealth technology similar than that of the Minbari but slightly less advaced.

Intended for deep recon missions the Rutarian is intended to work in tandem with the Centauri Dargon Strike Cruiser which can mimic the sensor signature of any vessel of similar size and thus penetrate deep into enemy territory undetected.

Due to the extreme cost of these fighters there are only a very few of these craft in service as of 2260.

So basically the Rutarian is like a portable, first-strike vessel, capable of dealing with both fighters and heavier craft, but also with the ability to run silent if it needs to.

Dammn the rutarian fighter is one of the ships I would like to seen the MOD most...thats one sexy fighter isnt it?

That fighter certainly gives the centauri militARY tremendous tactical flexibility.... why sent a cruiser when you can send a few fighters to do dirty jobs quietly and without needing spend larger resources on cruisers and sentri escorts...
