Unhappy Awesome MOD, just one small complaint

First off, I'd love to thank the team for providing an awesome MOD, if it could be counted as such! But then, if you'd excuse me, can I please make a complaint for that will hopefully be fixed next time...

I had a problem getting the MOD to work, as it tended to crash on loading the mission. So then I'd thought I uninstall it, then uninstall Freespace 2 and start over.

But then the uninstaller wiped my whole C:\Games\Freespace 2\ folder! Now being a something of a community veteran, that's 2 years of MODing files, and many hours of hard experimentation gone! I know this isn't really a big problem, but did I miss a warning somewhere or something? I know this place might not be the best place to post about it, but I mean, it's really really annoying (to say the least) to lose all of my Freespace 2 stuff I've been saving for years! Can the team please change the uninstaller somewhat or provid a warning somewhere on big red letters? It's be so nice.

Also, I've read that sometimes uninstalled files aren't really gone yet. Can someone please point me in the direction of a program that can possibly recover the files I lost? If there is such a program, of course.

be happy

Red face

I saw the warning before I used the uninstaller - or rather, didn't.

Sid.

Yes Ypoknons , this was an error.
It will not happen again.

But.... DAMN ! Ypoknons seems to have downloaded the buggy 130MB version not a long time ago . WHY IS THIS BUGGY VERSION STILL NOT FIXED ???

Could anyone please remove the uninstaller and ensure all servers get the correct version ?

Last I talked to Kazan he said something along the lines that he's not uploading a 130mb file again.

We do have it listed as unsupported. If there are any more problems, I'll probably have to remove it from the download list.

I decided not to go with the version with the installer/uninstaller. I wanted to see what was in the folders before installation. Whem done with it I just put in a copy of my 'data' folder I made a copy of before I moved The Babylon Project files to my FS2 folder.

sorry about the uninstaller bug.. it was an idiot error of not typing "/data/" in one spot...
