Problems with Fred

Im still trying to to finalise the last man standing mission, but when the asteroid base is destroyed (in mission) fs2 open crashes (resets).

Anyone any ideas

- Try the base on another mission to check whether it also crashes.
- Try to remove some events.
- Try to remove some ships.

Do you have any ships trying to depart inside the asteroid base's docking bay?

Tried what you suggested. If you are close to the base when it is destroyed it crashes. If you are a few thousand clicks away when the base is destroyed its fine. Tried doing another mission with only a few ships, same happens again.

I do have ships departing (docking with the asteroid base). If i add to the events (and not destroyed) could this solve the problem??

Nobody knows until you try it.
Tip: Save the mission with another filename, then modify the other.

Are the dock points setup properly? That could cause a crash. Also if any friendly fighters are lacking dock points and the support ship is enabled you could also crash out.

Thanx for advice. One of my previous missions suffered the support ships crash, so I know about that one. everything seems fine with the missions now, ive changed some of the events relating to the asteroid base (and not destroyed). Ive tested it eight times now and seems to be fine. Should be uploading today.

In fred. Ive managed to work out that it was something to do with the wings. After i got it sorted the same error message came up with delta wing, so i did the same to rectify that problem and now the whole mission is cabbaged. So im using the .bak file and getting it finalised. Im still having major problems with icons. So there will be no icons on Last man standing mission.
