I have the game or well HAD. my cds got screwed up and i'm WAY beyond the warranty. I didn't mind having to buy it again so I went and checked out a few stores and NONE of them had it. Is there a site I can buy it online at? or a store that still sells it?

I MISS FREESPACE 2!!!!!!!!

It's not sold anymore, at least not to my knowledge.

You can however download the game for free now (minus a free media files) from the underdogs site...

I think whoever was hosting the download (I THINK it was Mr. Fury) had to take it down. I'm sure it'll get back up sometime.

I think you can get fs2 off Kazaa.

That's the add ons to bring it up to a full install. The underdogs download should still be up.

It's frustrating as all hell that you can get Freespace 10x easier than you can find Freespace2, and usually at a fraction of FS2's online price. Actually, I tried downloading both the Underdogs version, and the KaZaA version. I first tried the Underdogs, but it was too slow to download so I grabbed it off KaAzA. When I was finally able to grab it off Underdogs, I found that their copy didn't have in-game message wav files. I then uninstalled the Underdog's version and redownloaded the KaZaA version. I stayed with that download until I was able to copy the full game off a friend of mine.

Well the files to bring the HotU version up to a full install were hosted at one point so it didn't really cause much of a problem but unfortunately they are down at the moment. Over on HLP people are looking for a way to host a better download or improve the HotU version.

Well because it`s just a question: yes, it still can be bought here in Poland, for about 7 -8 USD .
But notice it`s the Polish version of the game we`re talking about. It `s been the only available and therefore, well... could be hard t understand.
