Summoner: Possible shipment problems?
Posted by Chucker:
FGN Online has reported that there have been certain problems concerning new shipments of PS2 systems for all of us itching to play Summoner. They say that retailers have been reporting errors in the PS2's concerning the DVD media and that "The systems simply do not recognize them." Also reported by retailers is the theft of several PS2 units. Read more below:
Retailers from various stores contacted FGN Online to say that Sony couldn't tell them when to expect more PlayStation 2 units. One retailer in particular contacted us to explain that out of 72 PS2 units in store, "…we have so far, received 12 units back. The consoles have been returned due to problems playing DVD movies and DVD game discs. The systems simply do not recognize them."
Another worker of a large retail chain has revealed a different shortage cause all together, "There is rampant theft of PS2 systems in shipping. Our company uses a leading express delivery service, and although no store had its entire shipment lost, 30 percent of the stores in my district had one box (three units) stolen. The delivery company said it would locate my box by October 27. I'm still waiting, but dropped them a hint to look for my 'misplaced' systems on Ebay."
Is it just me or does this really suck?
Nope, it's not just you

How do the stolen systems effect Summoner again? Wait a second here... None of this is a problem with Summoner.
So a few PS2s are faulty, big whoop. Chances are it's just dumbass hick syndrome anyway, more commonly referred to as user error.

I'll laugh when we find out Ivan's PS2 won't play any of his games. Hehe..
Oh wait.. *cry*, he has one and I don't.

This affects Summoner because of people like me who can't play Summoner because they don't have PS2's yet (and some other reasons....), and this may very well be a problem in people waiting for them.

It doesn't affect anyone wanting to play Summoner. At least not realistically. Like I said, the majority of problems are almost assuredly moron related and the rest is such a small percentage that it would be foolish to report otherwise. Don't worry about it. When you get Summoner your PS2 will run it just fine. Same goes for everyone else.

Yay, new rants!
No reply from ivan?
I'll do a rants section if I ever get around to it, but I can't commit to anything. I also want ot start working on the new weapons and vehicles sections, but I've been busy/lazy.
