VW Main: Interview With Dan Wentz
Posted by Orange:
Dynamo has recently completed his first interview since he's been on the staff. It's with Dan Wentz and we're happy we finally got it to you after a whole deal of communication issues and whatnot between us, THQ, Volition, and, well, Dynamo.
Anyway, in case you don't know, Dan is a composer/sound designer on RF and has worked for Volition for about as long as anyone else. Here's a little excerpt from the interview:
What's in your pockets right now?
My keys, a wallet and a few balls of lint.
Okay, well that wasn't the real quote that I wanted, but I just wanted to tide you over to read this: The interview also includes an exclusive peice of music from Red Faction called "Trilogy". This is the only place you can download it at this point in time.. Here's the real quote I'll give you now:
You've been doing music work for Volition/Parallax for some time now, making you one of the veterans around the office. Do you get special privileges, like making Todd Miller get your coffee in the morning?
That's not a bad idea. After all, my office is furthest away from the kitchen. I'll consider this for the Volition suggestion box. Seriously, I think the biggest advantage we "veterans" gain is simply acquired experience. Time is literally money, and many pitfalls are avoided through experience. Having been a part of three titles, it's very rewarding to see how things constantly evolve and improve. But the real privilege is to be given an opportunity to make a living at what I love to do most.
Okay, another silly one, but now that you've read through this whole thing, click here, here, or here for the interview.
