Red Faction: Distortion Announced

It's pretty cool when you have a game that garners enough attention for people to actually seriously commit to a mod before said game is even released. Such is the case with Red Faction. Mr.G and Daedalus have just officially announced their single player mod/campaign for RF, Distortion. Their site is still under construction, but the mod sounds really promising swaying from conventional mods and focusing on a killer single player experience that should deliver new weapons, characters, and locales. It still remains to be seen how easy or difficult their task will be as Volition have yet to release specifics on modding, but it's very cool, and wise IMO that they start early to get the design, concept, and docs all ready come RF launch. Check out the thread with the announcment accompanied by a brief story summary here, and remember to watch for their site in the near future.
