It's illogical, yes. They should get rid of it... We use the formatting day, month, year (23.5.2003) that actually makes sense (being in a usable order), and the international ISO standard is year-month-day (2003-05-23) that also gets ordered right when processing it alphabetically. But what can you expect from people who can't measure *anything* without confusion? (Like, how many different "tonnes" there were, all named a ton but having different weights..? A metric ton would be the same everywhere. SI units are your friends, use them.)

Tethys and Prometheus were not titans, and I also believe the Muses and the Fates were not gods...

Actually Prometheus was titan, but when Zeus revolted against Cronus he deserted other titans and fought on Zeus' side. Also you forgot Dione who was also titan.

Tethys

Tethys is the wife of Oceanus. Together they produced the rivers and the three thousand ocean nymphs.

(Oceanus is a Titan , that might qualify for his wife beeing Titan aswell ?)

Prometheus

Prometheus was the wisest Titan. His name means "forethought" and he was able to foretell the future. He was the son of Iapetus. When Zeus revolted against Cronus Prometheus deserted the other Titans and fought on Zeus side.

By some accounts he and his brother Epimetheus were delagated by Zeus to create man. In all accounts, Prometheus is known as the protector and benifactor of man. He gave mankind a number of gifts including fire. He also tricked Zeus into allowing man to keep the best part of the animals scarificed to the gods and to give the gods the worst parts.

For this Zeus punished Prometheus by having him chained to a rock with an eagle tearing at his liver. He was to be left there for all eternity or until he agreed to disclose to Zeus which of Zeus children would try to replace him. He was eventually rescued by Hercules without giving in to Zeus.

(Even if he deserted them, you are human, when you desert us and live with apes you still remain human, no ?

Besides all this, i posted the source, complain to them not me

The Fates

The Fates have the subtle but, awesome power of deciding a mans destiny. The assign a man to good or evil. There most obvious choice is chosing how long a man lives. There are three Fates. Clotho, the spinner, who spins the thread of life. Lachesis, the measurer, who choses the lot in life one will have and measures off how long it is to be. Atropos, she who can not be turn, who at death with her shears cuts the tread of life.

The Fates are old and predate the gods. It is not entirely clear how far their power extends. It is possible that they determine the fate of the gods as well. In any case, not even the most powerful is willing to triffle with them.

Ah dont forget to meantione that before every morning he was regenerated, just to get killed again.

Some say that they were eagles, others say vultures and rest say them both. Not only liver was a target, but everything that there was inside Prometheus stomache.

Then that Hercules thing, some merciful story tellers has made that up, but how its usualy descriped is that Prometheus is still suffering at mountain of Kaokalus (which I didn't write correctly).

Prometheus is also linked heavily on Pandora and her box, his brother Ephimetheusmarried Pandora and without a though opened "Pandoras box" and unleashed all diseases and pain in the world. Again some say that box contained a hope, but thats too merry and happy for such legends.

I made a mistake about Prometheus, but I'm pretty sure Thetys is not a titan, but a ninph (can't translate very well... In portuguese: "Ninfa"... anyone?)

I was just trying to comment... not complain...

My understaning of Pandora's box is that by the time the bimbo slammed thi lid down, only hope remained in the box. Thus, hope is still there, never to be released.

Yes that is another point of view, but I belive there never were any hope in there, just pain and death. Pandora closed the lid of box true, it would have brought nothing but death on world if it would have remained open.

Though vision of hope isn't bad neither, this again shows that women truely are devils and mans are maroons and idiots
