There's no way you can convince me that an Olympus rates a "cruiser" title. Even a light one.

The name of the ship from Russian Federation was HERMES.

Its definately the very model of a corvette. A relatively small and mobile ship.

Trulies. Nothing really prevents anyone naming ship as EAS Kidney. But in the show that kind of name would have sounded either amusing or inappropriate, so they used names that were 'cooler', ie. Agamemnon, Pollux, Hermes etc... However, EA has without a doubt build thousands of ships so the (so called) famous gods will run out. So they have to move on to 'less famous' cultures and their gods, or simply look out of the window and use the name that first comes to mind...

That's why you save the best names for the "more important" ships.

In other words, don't name your trash hauler the EAS Plato or a personnel transport the Bismarck.

The only reason the car named corvette was called corvette was because they wanted to identify it with the "Corvette" class of warship that the British and Canadian navies made such heavy use of during WWII. They were fast moving vessels, designed to protect convoys going across the Atlantic from German U-Boats.

A good identifier for a car that was meant to be the epitomy of fast.

You're right, I'd name my personal transport the Exodus. But anything is an improvement over using alpha-numeric designators.
