Damn, the meson beam doesnt just shoot STRAIGHT! Bah, jump in from behind, the sides, or send in the Elite Bomber Squadron (my idea means destroyers carry the elite of the elite squadrons, one heavy, one interceptor, one bomber). Take out the anti-capship beams and then you could jump in from above/below...

well, just have them concentrait on one side, and the engines, that way you can warp in to the side and slightly behind and it will be helples
