thought you would all enjoy this little tidbit;

Questions for the Chinese:

How many flight hours per month does the normal Chinese fighter pilot get?

Does this training include visual intercept practice on large, slow non maneuvering propeller driven planes?

Do Chinese fighter pilots wear glasses . . . if not . . . why not?

Are Chinese pilots required to pass depth perception tests?

What is the average eye-hand reaction time of a Chinese fighter pilot?

If Chinese fighter pilots can't see a P-3 . . . how will they ever spot the F-117s and B-2s that will be flying over their country . . . tonight?

Do Chinese pilots have any pride . . .is getting killed by an unarmed Navy prop plane an honorable way to go?

Is the Chinese military aware that the USN is already painting the aircraft commander's name on his new P-3 . . . and it has one red star on the nose?

Does the US fighter pilot expression "A Kill is a Kill" mean anything to
you?

How many hours of water survival training do you get a year?

How many mid-airs did your class have at UPT?

What type of aircraft do you use to simulate a P-3 when doing DACT?

Do you have similar tactics for a C-130 or C-141?

Do you know the difference between a C-17 and a F-117?

What do you consider a more lethal threat, the inboard or outboard engines?

How many hours of training does it take for one to properly place his aircraft in front of a moving aircraft's propellers

Do you have any training to go against an aircraft that has an offensive
weapons capability?

Just ran across this. The main thing that caught my attention was the increased accuracy in the MLRS. Hehehe

its very interesting, i wonder if the us will liscence it from isreal?

I have a friend who was working on the whole thing while he was in the IDF; what the system does is add the ability to direct the flight path of the missile after launch. The original MLRS had to compute the path of the missile before it was launched, and once the missile was launched, there was no way to correct it's path if it got blown of course by heavy winds or something (target moved, etc...)

thats because MLRS was origionally designed as an artillery weapon. and the it works, it doesn't matter if the target does move, the system drops the rounds in a box.

Well You nead a STAR WARS nut to fix the ion cannon: based on how FS2 works, the best thing to do is make a more powerful SDG; (I have tbl version of it; will send at request as for the Emp: TELL ME HOW FOR PRIMARIES!!!

Posted by IceFire on 05-10-2001 03:00 AM:

A real honest to god Ion cannon probably wouldn't work too well against ground based targets. The charged particles would probably bounce and squewer entering the earths magnetic fields.

Gah! I may be a newbie to this forum, but this thread needs to be taken outside and shot!

Posted by Charger on 05-10-2001 05:01 AM:

either that or the planets magnetic field would spread the ion bolt out as it encountered the feild.

I lost track of this Topic along time ago oh well hehehhe i dont fell like reading 4 page worth of stuff.
