-- Poll: Mission types (http://volitionwatch.papageorgefamily/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=3535)
Personally i liked the old Wing Commander Missions in which you had NAV points. Also i think the capships in FS2 are too easy to kill becuz the never launch fighters- i was able to kill an orion just by flying up behind it to a spot where it had no turrets. I liked the concept of "aircraft carriers" instead of fighterless cruisers because the firefights were much more well done- the only ship spawning fighters in the campains i played was the first mission of "Hammer of Light" campaign (or something like that i forgot the name of it)
Unfortunately, the capships don't launch fighters automatically. You have to script it in the mission.
In FS2 you can't kill an Orion from behind unless you have Bombs. I agree that capital ships should have fighters sometimes, but trust me, you'll wish they weren't there when your done
