i'm currently scratching my head like a monkey doing a math problem trying to figure out how i can stick in running lights hehe

reading other peoples code without them there to explain what they were thinking is a pain.

I made a program in my class the other day that rolls dice on the screen in DOS (16 colors).

oh.. yeah.. lol.. I don't want to confuse my suckiness at C++ with my l33tness of PHP. I can do database interaction and other PHP stuff just fine, but when it comes to Windows API and whatnot.. I'm just not there yet. I'll get an initiative to learn some day..

Considering that modern video cards can handle 32 or more light sources, as compared to the 8 that most FS2-era card can handle, having actual light glows from some effects would be cool.

I was in for a surprise.... I went to the Interplay, Volition, HLP sites just to see...

Wow, thanks a bundle V.... now all the things we could do to it (FS2 in teh Iwar style anyone? Although it might be faster to do that in Iwar...)

Shrike, say what? Most weapons in FS2 already cast light, as do warp holes.

Before everybody gets all crazy with expanding FS2, I'd like to see a version that does nothing more than fix the known bugs.
