What I liked:

Almost every aspect of the demo was excellent in my opinion. I liked the the voice acting, models were great, weapons and sounds were also top notch as well as the music selections and mini briefings.

The below stuff may seem like a lot but it really isn't, I tried to explain detailed why I disliked the very few things I disliked so believe me I did like a lot more than what I didn't.

What I did not like:

There were very few things that weren't completely satisfying for me. Like some I wished there had been more missions available but I do understand they are difficult to make and take a long time especially by trying to make them different and containing unique events each so it doesn't feel like playing the same mission over and over. I did not like (at least to my perception) how slowly the player starfury worked as opposed to the ai Furies. It appeared to me that the ai furies could travel normally and maintain faster speeds than the player and thus I lost many an opportunity to destroy Nials because of it. I understand also the Nials were superior to the Nova Starfury used at this point, but their speeds were also far too great to maintain a good engagement: the Nial moved at a normal cruising speed of 100 while the Nova Fury moved at 65 and drained it very quickly. I hope the Aurora variant has this improved just a bit along with more powerful weapons such as missiles (which I understand is already going to be). The only other problem I had was the storyline was way too one-sided. Not even one Sharlin or Tinashi for that matter was destroyed by the EA fleet. Even the Sharlin rammed by the Nova Dreadnought in the final mission impossibly survived (in ITB the Sharlin rammed by the Nova vaporized). I know I going to get a huge lecture about how the Minbari were so superior to the EA and how every battle was supposedly lost blah, blah. And I do not intend to make any discussion which will insite another debate on the matter, but apart from the Blackstar incident there were a least a few EA victories or in the least survivals were EA ships outnumbered the Minbari so much that even though the EA lost a great many more ships in the fight all Minbari ships were destroyed. Just my opinion, but it would have been greatly enjoyable to feel one of those few victories which would add as morale boosters to the storyline, even if those were shortlived boosts becuase there would be many more defeats after that. I'd like there to be more cap ships involved in bigger fleet battles but I also know the engine won't run smoothly with too much stuff so I don't expect that to happen.

its not so much the game engine, but your video card that limits fleet sizes. if we have a big fleet, ppl with Geforces will have fun, while us TNT2 and Voodoo ppl wont even be able to complete the campaign...

It's silly not to have at least a geforce2, they're dirt cheap.

Not silly if you're saving for a better system (making spending money on intermediate performance products pointless). But they are widely available at good prices.

Well unfortunately I have a Diamond Viper vid-card, going to 3 years old now. I have a 600 MHz, 128 MB RAM system. Don't know how much punishment that can take (can't even run Aliens vs Predator 2 in low graphics setting completely smooth) still I'd like bigger fleets and gawk at them engage each other.

Whee!

Hail to great FRED2 master IceFire, we mortal's salute you(I had to add something nice)!

I know this all IceFire and if you want me say sorry, I'll say it. I dont like to have enemies.

Your point is clear and good. I have made mission's myself only two year's and I had long stop in that (again because computer). And fact that you dont make mission alone is good reason to me, it s really hard to figure out what other mission desingner thinked and thats why I make my missions alone (well except pera made Battle of the Line).

I appreciate the frankness of what you said. I'd rather you say something and back it up than anything else. Your kind of comments help and they did help. I appreciate that.

No, you don't have to say sorry. I don't like to make enemies either. No offense taken, but on occasion it does help to tell people that you do have some knowledge of what your talking about and that im not completely out on a limb in a 40 foot tree

With what I've written of the script right now, it is a much better and more involved script than with Release 1. I think that with your comments and some more time and effort on my part (and the part of other mission designers on the team when the time comes) you'll all have a much better experience.

My critiques:
The "This is Susan Ivanova.." speach when going over the exit is cute the first time, but then somewhat irritating.

In the demo, you could tell who did what mission based on the Minbari ships or EA ships having the thin shield system. Keep it consistent and in the HUD edit out the shield strength part on the smaller hull integrity gauge.

On the regular interfaces and such, the backgrounds is a nice touch but if possible I would do a total overhaul on the look of the buttons and such to seem more like a B5 display then the FS interface with a new background. It's only a matter of finding the time to do it since I know you guys are capable of it.

On the grammar, fixing the small bugs shouldn't be much of an issue.

In the missions, please have more bonus and secondary objectives that effect future missions like in the FS1 demo and FS1 promised to have.
