"Meaningless release dates are just meaningless"
That was quite well said LAM3O

But I agree, release dates are never correct, so I dont look on release dates

Politician he might be, but at the very least he came in with a viewpoint, argued it a wee bit too aggressively for my tastes (y'know, test the waters before you jump in) but admitted that the other side had a valid viewpoint once it was explained, and even agrees with why. That, to me, means a lot.

Welcome to the board.

Is there any need to continue this discussion? I mean, all points have been made...

I don't know what the others think, but I rather wait a few more month for a very good release (like R1) that get one full of bugs, just because the team wants to get ready at the right date!

P.S. As long as there are so entertaining discussions in a Froum like in this one, I will not only check out the news. I will enjoy it

P.P.S No I actually don't mean THIS thred.

I thought about running for Prime Minister here (Israel) but this country is too stupid for me to put any time into (making mods is more effective, IMO).

I really enjoyed that discussion, you guys make you point well, I'll stick around. I might even take a lesson or 2 in missionmaking and join the discussions concerning FS2 editing...

Where over there are you at? I've got two cousins over there. Unfortunatly they're a bit too orthodox to be gamers if you catch my drift.

I'm from Tel-Aviv. Not religious though.

One thing I've noticed, is that, in the game as it is (without Source Code modification) it isn't practical to control the large ships. One thing I did notice, is that you can fly it, but not fire. Now to the question - with the proper modifications, is it possible to control the large ships?

Probably...but by the same token, we could also turn FS2 into a WWII submarine game. I think the source team has said no to making big ships controllable...FS2 is supposed to be about the fighters....and we've accomodated that with TBP. Although stuff like the WhiteStar everyone wants to fly. We're going to make sure that happens...but we will probably need some kind of AI modifications for a "fighter" that large.
