Either that or in some cases they have used a download manager and unfortunately the files have been corrupted or still haven't downloaded properly.

Whats the deal with the 3pm showings on bravo as well? I read the info and it says Sheriden defeats the shadows but the episode at 5am before that was about the telepaths pilots for shadows. Im just trying to work out if their repeats or what.

Harley: Well, two reasons. One, broadband costs money and not everyone has it. Two, not everyone has access to broadband; there are areas that just don't have broadband access.

Xaphod: Oh it's theft, alright. You're right on that one.
Thing is, they ARE depriving people of things, just maybe not directly.
For example, GTA3 PC just came out. Someone downloads it and says "It's easier!" ... I say "Maybe so, but you're depriving Take 2 and Rockstar of the money they need to put out more of these titles." And yes, "one person won't hurt" but fifty thousand people will.
I'm proud of my legal copy of GTA3, by the way. Why? Because I like it, a lot, so it's worth the money.

When the B5 DVDs (when, not if, because I'm an optimist ) come out, you can be sure I'll buy them. Because if I like something it's worth the money. You may have noticed that.

Whitestar 15: The 130mb pack with everything in release one? Advice: DO NOT use the uninstall feature of that pack. It will wipe out your FS2\data directory, which means pretty much *everything* gets wiped out. A minor error (one line of code) but something that still should've been caught in testing. So be careful with that!

Why hasn't that one line of code been corrected by now? surely it wouldn't take too much effort and would save a lot of hassle for anyone yet to download release one.

changing a line of code isn't the prob.. reuploading 130mb is, I think.. it's unsupported.

Actually when we discovered the thing, I suggested to Kazan that he'd fix it. But I didn't hear a word back from him, and I presumed it was done...apparently it wasn't.

I remember him saying something like "I'm not uploading a file that big again"

and Xaphod is again correct. To Kazan, the inconvenience of him uploading a 130 meg file (admittedly, a big inconvenience) was less of a problem than people's entire data directories being deleted.

Hence, it's not official since TBP doesn't want to - nor do they deserve - any flak on it.

Basically it was this. Kazan said, I've got a 130mb file with the entire thing in one install. We said, perfect, we don't have an all in one. About 2 weeks later, someone did an uinstall and poof...bye bye directory. I asked for it to be fixed, there were a few comments, a lack of interest for it to be fixed and it was therefore subsequently removed.

If it were to be fixed, I'd put it back up there (with some proper testing this time on my part). Its no big deal in terms of it being there or not, but clearly it was a mistake that had some pretty annoying outcomes and no action was taken to correct it. So what is, what is.
