Hey, everyone remember the "Shadow Dancing" episode. The one with Sheridan having flashbacks to what Kosh told him. At one point kosh said "You are the Hand". Now, everyone assumed that this meant what delenn said, but what if kosh was warning Sheridan of things to come. The plot to the legend of the rangers could be greater than you think. Imagine Sheridan becoming the tyrant and using "the hand" to do his dirty work, after all, they are only the hand, and what you chose to do with it is a entirely different matter. Also, the series could become a twist in which the Hand build a Thirdspace gate unaware of what they are unleashing. Thirdspace alien invade with there planet killers, heavy cruisers, etc. All races suffer heavy losses. The Drakh agree to join the ISA and cure the plague on earth if the ISA help to defeat new threat. The hand also join the ISA and help tackle thirdspace aliens, but they still get there butts whupped. At this point a scout ship would be sent to the rim of space to try and enlist the First ones support, including vorlons and shadows. They dissagree. The scout ship leaves but is unaware that a thirdspace fleet followed them through hyperspace. The thirdsapce fleet engage the vorlons and shadows which incure heavy losses. This gets them pissed off and they agree to help the younger races. The shadows and vorlons mobilise there fleet and planet killers and engade thirdspace fleet. It looks like there winning when a mammoth vessel (approx the size of Independance day mothership) is about to emerge from the portal. The races join there efforts and destroy the portal from the other size, collapsing the jumppoint and destroying the mothership with it. The end. Tah Dah.

Umm...as big as that ship was, it still doesn't compair to the size of the Vorlon PK or the Shadow Deathcloud. And it seemed pretty wussy in compairison.

Dunno how big the shadow cloud or the Vorlon Planet killer are, but the ID4 motehrship as a size equivalent to half the moon. The moon shadow covers an area about as big as Australia... That makes the ship damn big ( and impossible to destroy with one single nuke, but anyway ).
I'm not very fluent about Babylon5, but I've seen that Rangers movie... I thought the idea of the weapon firing control was nice, but shown wrong ( didn't know it was like that only in the movie ). Anyway, those aliens, the Hands? how could they be fooled my that comm at the end? Such an advanced species couldn't tell that the comm didn't come from the rescue pod?
Also, a stupid question? How big a ship like this is, to be blown up by some hand grenades?

And unfortunately, I see little chance of LOTR's story of becoming so engrossing as the original B5's. I mean, if "The Hand" is so incomprehensibly powerful that the Shadows would mean nothing to them, then a) how did the Lintira manage to destroy two of their ships, without support? Pretty good for a 30-year-old junker. And b) even if the Liandra can smack the killer-starflake-thingies, what else might "The Hand" have in reserve, and if they could crush the Shadows with ease, what chance does the ISA even stand against them?

a) Let's not forget that it's not uncommon for some alien races to use 'probes', simply to test an enemy's defenses before it even considers deploying a counter-offensive force.

b) In ITB, the Black Star wasn't just defeated using hevy weapons... they were defeated using cunningly thought out tactics. Just because a enemy's technology is more advanced than your own, doesn't mean to say it can't be beaten using a less-sophisticated approach.

Cunningly thought out tactics...?
There's nothing cunning about placing a few nukes... It was just luck...

The cunning tactic was having John "Nuke 'em" Sheridan aboard the EAS Lexington

with all the adverts for B5 (In the Beginning DVD and Bravo), I'm thinking it could maybe bolster popularity of B5, and therefore also increase the chance of maybe doing a LOTR series at a later date.

I take it no-one knows when the LOTR pilot will be shown for Sci-Fi UK customers?

Quite honestly I don't think there's any issue about B5's popularity.

Whenever I go on a something like Kazaa and search for "babylon" I find at least a hundred epsiodes from various users, and all of those users have queue's the size of a small country just waiting to download them.

As far as rangers goes, it's unlikely that US Sci-Fi will back it now (at least at this point in time), but that doesn't mean it will be forgotten. I very much doubt they will release it to video/dvd though, which is a shame because I'm sure that a lot of people would buy it; even those that have already seen it (myself included).

A UK release is unlikely Tiletron, if you really want to see it (and I'd say it was worth it (although others would argue)), then you will have to download it off the internet... there's no other way.
