-- Warlock - what does it do?? (https://volitionwatch.game-warden.com/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=4750)
there we go the warlock does have the cystaline armour the sharlin doesn't - sharlin is stilla very poweful ship but its only marginally better than the warlock and stealth systems and all that wont work on shadow sensors
the voctory would be taken by any first one ship and so would all the others - they would only stand a chance in the heat of battle where they might not be seen coming until it was to late - its a fair guess to say vorlon and shdows ships weapons have far greater range and acuracy than ours to even if we have the power to destroy them we have to get up close to do it

the textures on the ships make it look like the warlock has plasteel cystaline armour - i dont think just becasue the minbari cut there citys out of cystal formations it means they have the patent on all cystaline structures - and since it looker terran i'd say it is terran - minbari ships appear to have pretty pathetic armour - a hyperion can blast through it a starfury can rma right though it where a basic omega can take a starfury impact no probs hell it very nearly survived having a whitestar collide with it

KMN, you are just pathetically defending your Warlock babies in every opportunity.

Yeah and ill take my Nova and ram it down your hangar bay...
but anyway the Warlock is impressive very impressive and inspires fear IMHO...
and the reason for minbari armor cant hold for ships ramming them is some simple issues like its very thin... and secondly its made of crystal... crystal is very vunerable to kinetic energy while it can deflect energy based weapons fairly easily...
and with the third one aliens you could see a severly beaten up sharlin MUAHHAHAHAHA most of its front plastered away

Fenrir (or Fenris) is a gigantic and terrible monster in the shape of a wolf. He is the eldest child of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. The gods learned of a prophecy which stated that the wolf and his family would one day be responsible for the destruction of the world. They caught the wolf and locked him in a cage. Only the god of war, Tyr, dared to feed and take care of the wolf.
what about people defending the sharlins - they are impressive but there tech is still thousands of years behind teh shadows and half the systems on teh warlock are shadow inspired tech - some of it was infact actual shadow tech if you believe jms's books

Warlock is better than the Sharlin. Those GOD Beams pack a punch.

You people miss out on one VERY GOOD point here;
Saying that one ship can beat another is pointless. As ANYONE who has ever played a strategy game knows, what you have is not nearly as important as HOW YOU USE IT.
Never once did we actually see a hyperion's pulse cannons punch through a sharlin's hull. (Which, by the way, my personal guess on sharlin armor is like most armor; several layers of different material to deflect several kinds of attack) What we see is INTERNAL DAMAGE. You don't necessarily have to penetrate the armor to do enough concussion damage to break stuff loose inside the ship. We have missiles in our arsenal NOW designed to just pass a shockwave through the armor, and do substantial internal damage.
As for starfuries ramming it; yes, that might penetrate the armor. But when you have several tons of metal, a reactor going critical, plus (Possibly) missile warheads, all screaming toward you at better than a kilometer per second, it's certainly enough to punch through a few meters of any material I've ever heard of.
Just using ITB for reference, we see all of two things kill a Sharlin; being rammed by a nova, and creative use of tactical nuclear devices. Those are the only two incidents I can think of right now where we ever see a Sharlin killed.
But my point is this; Strategy, rather than brute force, is the way to win any war. A good (suicidal) pilot in a starfury can render a Warlock useless rather quickly. Earth Alliance ships almost all have this nasty habit of cramming the entire command staff in the only room with windows.
By similar point, a crazy man in command of a half-dead hyperion can bring down a Sharlin, said Sharlin can wipe out most of an Earth battlegroup with a well-placed jump point, a whitestar can wipe out a battlecrab using nothing more than gravity and air pressure, and a telepath, in the right plae, at the right time, can stop a battlecrab dead in its tracks.
People, not machines, win wars.

Nice point ShadowBoy, it's very true that people win battles and wars, not just the machinery of war.
That said however, there is nothing to stop the comparison of ships, as this is a separate issue to the "who would win?" issue.
Just as a side note - any Shadow or Vorlon capital ship has to be better than the Victory class (by definition) as the Victory uses a main beam no more powerful than a Vorlon's main beam, both Shadows and Vorlons have bio-armour and both can fire more rapidly than the Victory.

I all ready said that it is possible that anyone wins in B5 universum. Sheridan blasted a Drali Fi with a nuke and that proves that all of them are vulnerable.
Yes that was a typo (I didn't mean "paska" as we Finnish say, right pera?).
