I woulden't mind criusing around in the walkers of sigma 957 pathfinder.

I don't mean to be deliberately argumentative but I believe that a lot of the debate over how many victories Earth had in the war stems from the fact that it is stated that after a couple of months Earth had only one victory but EA ships were fundamentaly capable of damaging/destroying Sharlins - first contact situation.

IRL I could believe that Earth would have won some battles but only those that it picked where, when and how they fought.

Although picking a large, tough ship would be fun, I think that my personal favourite would be a Vorlon Fighter

I on the other hand, do. alphakiller@volitionwatch.com, if you please. It might take a couple days - I'm away from my home PC right now. But I'll get it up there.

I began modeling BinTak as soon as i got all the specs right, only the modeling part took me 3-4 weeks and the texturing one or two weeks alldo the modeling part was actually FUN and i could still today continue on it and make it MORE detailed i decided to close the thread and end this project for now, the texturing was a pain the rear end!, repainted the "camo" layer to the BinTak a couple of times but it turned out very nice."

As a modeler I get a little peeved when the right people don't get credit for original designs. Originality is so rare anymore that it deserves credit. It's easier to moddel off of someone elses work than to create your own. Just my pet peeve. He did a good job re-creating it though.

Don't diss Nadab man. He is by FAR the best LW modeler in the B5 community. He's making his final B5 mesh now, and then leaving to make his own stuff. what a loss.

This from EA history from B5tech.com about the EA Minbari War.

"Victories were far a few between, the Alliance loosing an average of five ships for every Minbari ship destroyed. Even those battles which were won by the Alliance were not true victories, as the cost in ships and manpower always averaged a 3 to 1 loss in the Minbari's favor... and this was just to drive the Minbari attackers off.

The Earth Alliance only achieved one true victory during the course of the war, when Lieutenant Commander John Sheridan, who had been thrust into command of the Earth Alliance Heavy Cruiser Lexington following the death of his captain, laid a trap for an attacking Minbari warship".

As you can see the EA did win battle they just lost too many ships doing it to be considered a victory. Hope this helps.

One word, B5tech.....

And their great use of "official sources" coming up with something that nobody has the vaguest idea of where it came from.

Pera and Triggy: are you sayig my sources are not reliable?

For your info a lot of their "official" information comes straight from interviews with JMS and his tech development team, course I doubt you'll believe that too, but those are definately more realistic statistics for me and I stand by them. But since this topic is tired and taking too much board space already I'm going to drop it and save TBP team more headaches.

IceFire and Alphakiller I'll send you both the picture of the Sha'Dum Battleship. I'm afraid it's not too big but it will give you a good idea of what the ship looks like.

I sent it to Alphakiller but I can't find IceFire's E-mail address.

The picture I got while I briefly played a B5 RPG online called Fleet Boards, one of the players had it and sent it to me over MSN Messenger, it is the only pic I've ever seen of the ship. The only other ship I ever had this much trouble finding was the EA's Poseidon Carrier but I did find the only two rendition pictures of that ship I am aware that exist.

I hope you like it.

that is one menacing looking ship. How powerful is it? Ehhh, I wouldn't give it 5 minutes against a Shadow-enhanced Warlock. Nothing can match the Warlock, it's too evil.

Posted by Triggy on 10-28-2001 09:22 AM:

Ghost Rider - shall we just agree to disagree. I haven't meant anything personally and it's been a good debate as far as I'm concerned

And that is one mean-looking ship. A Minbari equivalent of a Centurion/Bintak?

*OUCH*

clearly based on the sharlin - hence it does look minbari but i dont know it looks just a little to brute force for the minbari and its not based of a three radials like most of there ships so against hmmm - well i think it could take a warlock =) but perhaps not a warlock-x but there is only speculation if one of those was ever completed

Probably an AoG ship.....or maybe its just non-canon.

We will investigate a number of these ships at a later date.

Don't think about it Triggy nothing has been taken personal, I just don't want to upset our gracious hosts by endlessly debating the subject but yes we agree to disagree.

The Sha'Dum is obviously Warrior Caste. I don't think it's AoG because it's not in their Minbari shiplist sketch but who knows. I like that ship a lot. Supposedly a Warlock is almost equal to a Sharlin so I suppose it would be beneath the Sha'Dum as much as I hate to say it. But Had that horrendous EA Dreadnought ship been made (the Warlock on steroids from wolf's shipyard) that might have been good enough to take the Sha'Dum, maybe.

muahahahahaha. EA Dreadnought with Shadow bio-armor. Clark should've tried to upgrade the whole fleet with Shadow bio-armor. 'Fury's, Olympus', Hyperion's, Nova's, Omega's, Warlock's, and Dreadnought's!!! "Madness, total and complete madness" as Londo would say. Probably would've been impossible to do but the sheer thought is terrifying. I don't think even the Sha'dum could have taken on a Shadow enhanced EA Dreadnought (if the ship was ever built of course)

hehehe
there is a Minbari Battle ship is like a Sharlin On steroids ..Shargoti I think ..I saw it somewhere B5Wara and AOG site don't remeber where
