Hmmm... let's see: Military personell runs away to find a gun? Am I the only one who finds this a wee bit ironic?

And since I started this whole mess: <whistles loudly> "Hey, Doc! Those escaped loonies are over here - in this forum!"

...

...

HAH!

what would be ironic if he didn't know how to use it.

Posted by Charger on 05-24-2001 06:06 AM:

first, i am in the United States Navy, and what I call a gun requires a turret to aim and fire, what YOU call a gun is actually classified as small arms.

second, i do know how to use a rifle and an m16, though i do not know how to use a handgun or a shotgun.

and third, i was running from the while calling for someone to shoot the things, NOT running to get a gun.

<continues running>

firstly, i'd call handguns, submachineguns, etc, smallarms then i'd move up to rifles and shotguns and the even bigger guns (you know M-72 LAW, minigun that sort of thing) and then to cannons and then howitzers (there is a difference you know)

Um... okay, this topic has certainly outlived it's usefulness. If there ever was any to begin with.

Posted by Charger on 05-25-2001 01:47 AM:

Well, it did go from renders to something, to a 1970's "The blob" like movie about the 's

Hehehe... some talented animator should make up a smiley of a couple of eyeballs rolling along the floor or something; make 'em really monster-ish and stuff.

Maybe I'm a bit slow, but last I checked, I still lived in a democratic society which placed high regard to freedom of speech. Not quite as free as the US, but pretty darn close.

But is that a good thing?

Yes, because in Canada, since the right to freedom of speech is not quite inaliable, we are semi-effective at cutting out the hate groups from publishing and marching down streets and stuff.

Neither system is perfect, the American system has its merits too...but I prefer the slightly stranger Canadian method
