Brush42, I think V started as a PC developer and then got into consoles. Maybe they forgot something along the way, or maybe THQ forces them to release stuff faster than they want to or doesn't give them the money to support it. It's always confused me why the V guys (or any developer) does all the hard work and then THQ gets all the money but I guess that's how capitalism works. I bet V would have patched or supported the game a lot more if they had the budget to, but they're not always the ones that control that.

Ok, I can see that. I don't want to hold V accountable for everything since the responsibility really is shared. I don't know much about THQ but I do know that V was only given three months to convert the original PS2 RF to PC. That was not enough time for netcode, PC compatability, Editor distribution, and support structure. However, when taking on the responsibility of making a P.C. game, both divisions should have been prepared to make a quality product. The bottom line is that the gamers were cheated out of a great product.

Aight look...I've only red the first page and i've only red 1 page of this whole things so dont yell at me if i dont get everything rite. I dont have PS2, but I'm told its aight. I'm also told that the optional hard drive isnt available yet.

All my friends say that the thing is with most games, they wont spend the money on em if they dont have multiplayer Soldier of Furtune for example wasnt too bad single player, but the best part was multiplayer. Now that the new one is only Single Player noone of my friends are really buyin it.

Now onto Red Faction2. Yeah it might be a good Single Player game, and if they do throw in a Multiplayer, there not gonna have too much room for levels etc. for it. But after a while the hard drive will be out and some people might be able to download the extra levels. Although then again, it's gonna be hard making a level with a gameped (or if theres a keyboard out that might work I dunno)

So if ya can't make levels and theres only a few whats the point of Multiplayer. Your gonna get really tired of the few levels available. Thats my first point.

And again about the whole Multiplayer deal. Red Faction the game gets beat really easy. The Multiplayer is the only thing keeping my playing it. I got it about maybe December I think. Well this is prolly one of 2 games im playin right now when theres abunch of newer games I could be playin, but no...go into the Multiplayer serv's and u know how many PS2 people u see?? NOT MANY! If you look though how many total people are playing? If you actually count, around the busiest time of the day theres prolly round 800-900 people a playin. Now if you ask me thats a friggen lot. There are prolly onlu bout 1400 that actually bought the game..now thats a lil more than half the people playin online,.

And if the guy on the first page (sorr y i dunno his name) says is right about how many more people or w/e bought red faction for PS2 GUESS WHOSE NOT ON AS MUCH AS THE COMPUTER PEOPLE!?!?!

Sorry bout the long message people

I've found that theres always a new game out to grab my attention after I get bored of another so I see no attraction in persisting with the old one. In other words, IMO, mod support and multiplayer are overrated so neither really matter much to me. As long as the single player game is alright (which is getting increasingly more difficult given everyone elses preference for multiplayer) I really don't give a ****.
