sigma957 - I think it was always assumed the plague would be cured. After all, JMS did say the humans would eventually go beyond the rim; but the Narn and Centauri would not. Having ones home planet wiped out would tend to make that a wee bit more difficult.

However, the how of the cure would've been very interesting to see developed.

Maybe what they find is only a partial cure ie. it cures the
symptoms but the plague remains in the body so the quarantine
has to remain in place. Or perhaps it mutates it so that it doesn't
affect humans but may affect other races that come into contact
with infected humans.

Let's just say for the sake of argument, that not all of the Drakh were actually at the assault on Earth.

So perhaps the cure for the plague the Shadows created won't work on this strain, because the Drakh have developed a safeguard in case humanity did destroy the Death Cloud before it could be activated.

I would've thought the Drakh might have had the cure for the plague, on the off-chance that an accident might occur. Or if some other race were to get their hands on the same virus.

The words "wild" and "speculation" spring to mind.

Most here is truly speculation, but we know that the cure was supposed to be found in Crusade season 2. It seems that information about Excalibur going rogue and trying to fix things is also known, but I'm not too sure about that.

JMS has told us some bits, not much, but enough.

All that stuff you just summarized Mr. Fury was hinted at by JMS.
