Ive had XP pro for about 3 weeks and ive had to reinstall over 5 times. Ive learned never to use NTFS because you cant easily recover your files whenever something really bad happens.
So like ive said before: If your Windows installation works fine. DO NOT TRY TO UPGRADE. Your just asking for trouble

Why the hell did you have to reinstall so many times. I really want to know how you f*up your system so badly so quickly.

I've been asking myself the same thing each time. But maybe if it would've let me boot I could've figured it out.
I even went into the Recovery console and ran CHKDSK /F several times. The first two times it found and repaired problems but it still wouldn't let me boot.
It kept coming up with some new BSOD during the boot process.
All it showed me was a bunch of hexadecimal numbers and then it told me to run CHKDSK /F

Uh huh. I think you've got a hardware problem there, that's not XP. XP's installed perfectly on every box I've installed it on (three and counting) and if you count my flawless 2K installs, we're getting into quite large numbers

Wait wait. Are you doing an upgrade install, or are you reformatting and installing cleanly?
If you're doing the upgrade install, you are asking for problems.
