Hmm...off topic from fighters again, but speaking of Minbari... I think I've come up with the bioweapon that the EA could have used during the Earth Minbari War! If the scientists could have found what genes make human pathological liars, and then tried to find any corresponding genes in Minbari, then perhaps they could have unleashed some sort of genetic liar plague! That way, all the Minbari would start lying to each other, and then they would accuse each other of lying, and then all that honor stuff, and ultimately they would have all killed each other due to honor challenges, thus leaving all their technology behind for the EA to come in and steal. Yep. In the meantime, you can use my Sun Crusher to deliver said liar plague.

And then Babylon 5 is never built, the Shadows come and nobody knows who they are. WhiteStars are never built, and the war is lost.

Naw, not everything would be lost. Since nobody would be trying to stop the Shadows, the war would progress just like the last one did, and the Earth Alliance would probably come out on top, at least for the next thousand years until the next war starts.

For those times when you actually have to get out of the fighter to either relive yourself, orshakedwn an informant, the new ISA fighter will come with the ultimate in anti-theft technology.

A big blck guy named Ben.
"Step away from the fighter, mutha-F__ker!"

I hope you won't create an ultimate fighter. I've created some VERY ultimate ones for fs and other games but it's really boring to play with an unfair ship! But it's funny to have some ultimate cap ships (only thing you need is a good mission/campaign).

I'm not one for creating something that is the "ultimate" at anything. There is always an up and down side to every fighter, ship, plane, everything thats ever been made. There is no such thing as the ultimate anything because something is always going to be better at it in something.

BlueStar is pretty ultimate, but with basically no missiles, its firepower and manuverability only. The WhiteStar is pretty good too, but not the ultimate. I'd still prefer a destroyer in a number of scenarios.

Yea, the concept of an uber-fighter probably isn't the best one out there. But then again, by raising the bar for everyone else, you guarantee that fighter technology will continue to move forward.
For example, in response to the USA's F-15, F-16, and F-18 the Russians developed the Mig 29 and Sukoi 27, two superb fighters that can even out preform their NATO counterparts in a close in dogfight. Of course their handicapped by lousy electronics, but hey, nothings perfect.

Also the thing with super-fighters is that they are very expensive to produce, so that there wuld never be more than a couple squadrons. With limits on the cost of the ship, to build a truly mass-producable fighter, the end result would be very different.

It would still probably be stealth, as the Minbari devices already exist. Manuverability and armor would probably be equal to the T-bolt, but more compact and efficient engines would be used, leaving more room for weapons. In most cases I'm fairly content to do without missiles, so the missle payload would be limited to long-range and anti cap ship. (and no more than 8 missiles) It would have 4 Neutron guns in a gattleing arragnement (cuz it looks cool), something for disabling ships, and 1 Wing Commander Stormfire mk. II in the left wing root.

Yeah, the MiG-29 and the Su-27 and all of their subsequent varients are good at close in dogfighting. Better than their NATO counterparts, but their BVR capabilities are substandard. So the balance is right there. Plus the MiG-29 and Su-27 are tougher than the F-15/F-16.

Extremely light armour
Crap manouverability
Large cargo compartment thingy
HUGE engines that propel it really quickly
Low shielding
One puny little gun at the front

The cargo compartment would be full of explosives. Yes, this is a kamikaze.
