To Lady Rose:

I'm also working on a couple of civ war missions with the ships that are released now... ( and the Midwinter-Hyperion I created)

Thoughts on writing it down:

I like to approach mission design from both angles. While some of you prefer to think it out in notepad and some of you prefer to just start building, I've established a hybrid of the two.

I plan out the story concept of the mission, where it starts, what key points should happen, and where it ends (linking to the next mission). Then I go and build. For those who prefer not to plan, if you want a story that runs through all of the missions, try that method.

I do it in the same way...
When you just start building, your mission often finishes not completely the way you want, and then it fits not perfectly in your campaign...
On the other hand, when you create the entire mission on paper, your mission can get very complicated...

Complicated is not necessarily a bad thing
