The US needs to be calm and measured in it's response to this. These attacks have served to make the whole world nervous. This is not a good time to, for the lack of a better phrase, "go off on one". Thus far I've been impressed with how the US has dealt with the situation. I had Bush down as being a bit of a militaristic crack pot. Fingers crossed that he keeps his head together.

Prime Minister Blair made a comforting statement this morning in which he said he'd spoken to various world leaders inc. Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. Everyone, inc. Putin, condemned the attacks. Most (all) of the ruling bodies in the Middle East have also condemned the attacks. So in the short term (touch wood) I don't think there's any danger unless the US does something nutty.

In the long term, this has served to underline the extent to which the people of the middle eastern countries are an increasing threat to world peace. All parties interested in continuing world peace have to address this in a united manner.

But onto what someone said about only being 10000 people there and not prime time... Both buildings were completely filled. All 50000 workers were there.

Over a dozen germans also dead.
4 onboard the crashing planes , at least 10 missing who were in the towers.

To be honest i dont see an easy solution to this at all, if there even is one. 11 september 2001 will be remembered forever. i cant help but think what i wouldve done if i was one of the ppl trapped in the building. and to be honest i think i wouldve attempted absailing down the side, breaking into the next floor though a window before just throwing myself out to obvious death. make some sort of support rope with all the electrical wire i could find.

its the sight of the people trapped in the windows that is going to haunt me. i just dont understand how somebody can do something so evil

Mackie had a bad timing I must say... This doesn't mean that he isn't concerned what happened in NYC... And those are (in my oppinion) not the most stupid things he posted here. There is many of who make stupid pictures of this situation. I my self don't consider most of them not funny. It's not time for laughter (yet, even thou laughter can heal wounds) that time will be later. I hope the bastards who did this will be found and prosecuted and executed (of course - torchure chamber sounds good for them).

Unfortunately, that's my point of view. I just can't believe this has happened... and it's over 24 hours since the buildings collapsed... I woke up this morning and hoped it was a dream. Those beautiful buildings will never reach the sky the same way...

Thers 27 missing potuguese people there one of them is well known female worker that never arrived late in her life. Not many probablities of survival she was working on one of the last floors of the north building.

despite all this mess i think when the US leaches its wrath on the terrrists and their supoters, consquenses will be such they will very reluntant to pull another one off.
the way all known terrorist supporters are laying low tells they are VERY afraid what might come to them. Did you hear? the afghanistans have offered to send Bin Ladin to the US IN CASE PROOFS ARE FOUND!! talk about chicken sh**s. If its gets too hot time to bail out! this is their philosophy.
theres the possiblity of things settle down if the US retaliation does not cause much unrest troughot the east. But I think most poeple goverments there even put in question its legitimacy.
if this happens, after the recontruction and economic restoration the world could be a better place ti live.

The US military denied that they shot down the plane over Pittsburg quite a while ago, and CNN just recently said that it was in fact the passengers that attempted to overthrow the hijackers. How they know this I'm not sure, but that is what was said.

The fact that anyone could ever do this and think that they were serving some good cause completely and utterly astounds me. Not to mention that there are people in several Middle Eastern countries that actually celebrated this mass murder. The Palestinians especially.... they plead for sympathy from other countries in their plight against Israel, yet they go out in the streets and dance and cheer over several thousands innocent lives being ended horribly. If that's the type of people they are, I for one no longer care what happens to them. There are very few things that I have seen or heard of in my lifetime that have sickend and angered me as much as this has. The only thing I have left to say right now is, whoever organised and funded this attack..... find them and kill them, and for any government that attempts to aid those people.... destroy it.

US military already said they didn't shoot it down. There is no reason for them to say they didn't.


The passengers and terrorists supposidly fought with the terrorists and the plane crashed during that.



The investigators are already going through the wreckage, they would know if it was shot down. No evidence of that. They also have the black boxes. It would be impossible to hide a missile attack, so denying it doesn't make sense.

This is jsut from kneejerk reactions by some media outlets, just like when there was an explosion in Kabul.. a fire started in a ammo dump for the Taleban and everyone at CNN was jumping around saying the US might be attacking......

What they have found however is all the terrorists and have identified them by name. Finding out who did this isn't too far off.

No, if they'd shot it down, they would have said it.
Apparently, according to one report, the terrorists did give the passengers and crew some indication of what they were going to do...
And even so, it is quite possible they might have made a attempt to retake the plane, and during the struggle it crashed (I don't know which plane it was that had ppl tortured to lure the pilots out)...
So it is a likely possibility they forced it down themselves.

Execution is much too civilized for there actions, I'd put a sign on them that says "I AM THE TERRORIST WHO MASTERMINDED THE ATTACK ON THE WTC" and drop them off in the middle of Manhatten,or Harlem, and let the citizens take care of them. As for the Palastinians I'd blow up some of there buldings that had a lot of people in it and send them a tape of everyone celebrating there death!

As for C4 on the planes I dont belive that, the planes have over 2000 gallons of highly explosive fuel, so a bomb would do little differance.
