If you`ve not tried Key-pressed with a repeat count I suggest you try it now. It does not work the way you think it works. The robotech team tried it that way for the transform and it didn`t work very well.
I suggested trying that but when I was told that it worked I gave it a try myself. The Key-pressed / Reset-Key cycle works once then stops working.

yeah i know repeat time puts it in infinite loop which fires continuos fire, but there is other way to do it...

Just can't remember what it was, I tested that 4 years ago, you cant expect me to remember it... And since its useless, why to use it?

I would still probably have it, unless my old hard drive wouldn't be whiped out by CIH, I lost that mission and various others like my half-made campaign with 32 missions

And when the White-stars become pilotable AND have fighterbays, it would be...fun. Loosing fighters in mid-combat would be a handy ace up the sleeve...

of course, it owuld be more realistic it it were simle gunboys, but still...

Tractor beams are already possible.
Make a beam and use negative mass value and of course zero damage. This way when the beam will fire at the target, it will pull it.

And I am quite sure that WS will not have a fighterbay, or then we will have two versions. But if player flies WS and a squadron of fighters will be launched from this WS, results can be a little... unsatisfactory to say the least.

But anyway, only in one episode does WS have fighters. In FS2 this is not practical in my opinion. Special cases and reasonable use of transports is another thing.

no. I think that Mr. Fury is quite right. Fighters flying from a docking bay, just before pressing the turbo would be unhealthy at the least.

I think it wouldn't be a great loss to do the WS without fighters.

Mines or gunboys which are dropped from the rear of the ship would make it interesting...imagine leaving a few automated turrets in your wake, who will open wide on your chasers...woo...
