Yeah, his name is Ashrak. He disses stuff.
I have to agree with Ashrak. It's not because of the model but because of the ship itself... it hasn't got the "Earthly" feel every other EA ship has. It's class looks a bit strange, seeing that the Omega Destroyer already was kind of a carrier.
Either way, good job.

The model looks good and I think that the Poseidon can carry considerably more fighters than the Omega Destroyer!
nice work on the Poseidon... to bad it will be mostly used as a "support capital" ship, since there isn't a real support for carriers in FS2 (well maybe with SCP, it could be done). Only thing is you can put more waves of fighter available, instead of having a couple of wings, you could add a lot of "reinforcement" wings in the comm menu.

I run in circles on a daily basis.
The understanding I have of the poseidon is that its a carrier only.Able to launch massive waves of strike craft in the shortest amount of time and would be able to re-arm and reload fighters alot quicker aswell.

From the B5 Wars/Fleet Action books of the EA fleets, the Poseidon is a dedicated Carrier/uber command ship with the most sophisticated Command and Control equipment the EA has outside of Starbases. It holds a complement of 90 fighters (One Fighter Wing) in the A variant of the Carrier which is the official AoG and Sigma's version, the Omega holds 32 fighters (One fighter squadron) and these are more of a supportive role to the Destroyer whereas the Poseidon's are launched for frontline ops. Poseidon also coordinates the fleet movements/strategies of other cap ships in battle making them more effective. And as Sigma already pointed out the Poseidon can launch/recover fighters extremely fast from both forward launch bays and the additional side Cobra bays which secure themselves and detach if damaged so the rest of the ship stays in operating condition.

I suppose its similiar to how the american carrier fleets work, with the carrier at its centre or behind with the destroyers, cruisers etc coordinating fleet movements and attacks.
