how nice of you to say that, very nice and kind indeed.

have you tried following the steps in the readme in the wiki? have you tried using the launcher, have you tried to ask in the forums? have you read the FAQ completely?
if any of the questions above can be answered with "no" then the same applies for the next one: "do you have any reason to bitch?"

i am not a coder, i do work for the SCP, and i don't like people pissing at the hard work of the coders. look at the screenies and all, it looks beutifull, and even i can get it to work.

Wait a second here. Whose idea is this? I'm thinking that some Interplay employe just noticed that FS2 was going for ridiculous money on e-bay and decided the company could cash in. Plus 2000 is a miniscule print run, right? Maybe it is some sort of "testing the waters", but I don't think publishers let thier employes run off and make games for other publishers. If the FS universe is continued (by Volition) I don't see how that could happen without Volition or THQ aquiring the rights.

Last time I checked, fifty bucks was a ridiculous amount of money for any game this old.

probly true, which makes the fact that I spent more than $50 even more depressing.

My question is whether or not the CDs are in an actual CD case as opposed to the cardboard sleeve otherwise known as the free-CD scratcher.

Well I hope That the re release of the game goes well. If its as we say a "testing of the waters" then looks like they're gonna be sold, no doubt about it. 2nd Ifwho ever is considering putting these games out decides to possibly continue the "Saga" then we are in for one sweet game! possibly I'm hoping for a walk around the ship, decide who you want to be, fight massive air battles, visit planets, start rebellions. I Think it could get volition off there knee's once again.. Or does volition not take much credit if this were to happen?

IF there was an FS3 [V] wouldn't be the ones to write it. They are owned by THQ now.

Check my FAQ if you want the full details.

So, anyone get a copy of this thing yet? Anything special about it? I'm still thinking about getting it, though it gals me to think that I'd basically be rewarding Interplay for killing off the franchise and printing a miniscule number of games, therefore allowing them to gouge people by charging an unprecedented amount of money for a game this old.

But anyway.

Fortunately for me, I had a 3 cd case lying around, and decided to cut up the original sleeve to fill in the empty case windows.

I have the nicest 3 FS2 discs around.

I also have the only FS2 discs around... I should burn and distriute it to neighborhood homes...

Eh... hehe good idea

steals idea

Anyways I have a question and it just hit me... If interplay is rerelasing 2000 copies of the game, they may not be testing the waters what so ever. They may know that we want a free space sequel so bad that they are "PRETENDING" to test the waters but all ther doin is makin a few bucks to save their dying company..

that was just a theroy I have no proof of this just a theroy...

Well, I bought myself a new copy of FS2 with FS1 in December.

Paid 16 euros of it.
