have you every seen a subsystem repair itself after being destroyed?

I saw it too. Well, if we understand that ship`s crew can repair the systemit`s OK. I saw it once but it was rather a slooow regeneration which i can understand - it was under repair. But from 0% to 100% in just few seconds, just like that? Stupid. IMO stupid.
I remember one mission where I disabled a deimos and eventually turned it off to the stage of floating wreck with 5% of the hull - I had one bank with cyclops. And then it warped out.
I think it would be better to create a clue that works like that: if subsystem (engine) disabled ( percentage so that it works when all engines but one are disabled ) then warp out - using the only engine left. Or a clue that makes the engine still has 1-3% after being hit and turned off. And then simply warp out.

FINALLY!!!!

I finally pulled it off. The Tiamat went down. Small miracle now that I think about it. I don't think I could pull it off again to save my life.
