He's right though, on the second picture it looks like the Battlecrab is in three distinct segments.
Still very nice work, however.

Hmm... Looks rather silly if I must say something - lacks some effects and you can see in the upper picture thru the whitestar's bridge...

Just as a by-the-way question:
Wasn't there a quite nice-looking Shadow battlecrab model already in-game before rel 1? I have a faint memory of something like that. Am I right and if so, what happened to it?

The battlecrab's model and textures were poor in quality.

Oh, I see...
At least it was better than nothing. What about a source mod that will enable the nasty-looking "alive" texture in the version someone will perhaps someday do? A certain 3D card killer but it'd look VERY nice... On Vorlon ships as well, of course

How are they doing that anyway? I remember talk of being able to apply .anis to parts of a ship if it didn't use FS2-style thrusters (like TBP's).

movung textures. That will be great. Do you know if anyone is doing a more realistic weapon damage mod? You know, blowing chunks off of ships. Punching holes in them. Slicing in half... That sort of thing.

For all the rest of you.... don't come here.
It's probably a long-term goal of FSOpen or whatever (I haven't checked) but the feature was in StarLancer and I really didn't even notice or care, so I'm not sure it's that big a deal.
