I'll like to see support ships that carry a fix amount of ammo so they can run out while re-arming you.

Animated backgrounds would be quite nice for some situations like comet tails.

If you pay attention the next time, in the mission where the Colossus's beams get disable and the Iceni jumps through the Knossos, the warp color is an eerie green.

Yes but special-warp is full of problems if you try using it without a knossos (or for alpha 1 for that matter)

For special warp you must be close to a Knossos, not just have one in mission. But I'm not sure exactly what the distance is. At least this is how I think it works. Don't take it as gospel.

What I would like to see are animated weapon effects. Imagine seeing bolts of light glowing off a laser burst just before it slams into your helpless target.

I think the jumping-out ship has to be within the radius of a subsystem called 'path01' on the Knossos.

i just long for better damage effects...like that odd harbinger blowing off a piece of that lilith, or a beam breaking a ship in half...I'll probably have to wait for the next lucasarts X-wing game for that though, since that would require a complete rebuild or replacement of the game engine...The Geo-Mod engine could apply here, but you would have to add hella physics modeling to it, add in tons of new effects and lighting, and then somehow get the beam weapons to work...yeah, its near impossible to do without a really good team...

Are they making another X-Wing game? I heard disappointing reports and reviews that Alliance would be the last.

Um, reviews dont matter to lucasarts, they are lucasarts....as long as there is a star wars...there will be lucasarts, and as long as there is lucasarts, there is going to be an X-wing game, although I would like to see them build a game that was more like FS2...after all, it looked completely superior, and came out only a few months after...
