MIR was on Earths orbit but I rarely heard anyone calling it a satellite. Even if it was (depending on ones point of view).
So Defence satellite, weapons platform, whatever. I really don't care.

FlakBait is correct. Anything in orbit is a satelite. That includes the moon!

When Sputnik was first launched it was refered to as an artifical satalite. Now communication satalites are so common that the term artifical has been dropped.

And the Moon is another example that you seldomly hear anyone calling a satellite. Even if it is.
Now about my first statement about GOD being a satellite. If I say "satellite", then the next person will likely think "oh thats one of those things in the sky sending us porn!". In other words, the first image people get in their head is some communication satellite. Not Sputnik, Moon, or frozen ET floating in high orbit.
And I don't think the name 'satellite' fits such a powerful machine as GOD any more than it fits the Moon. But thats just my opinion, and as I previously mentioned: I don't give a damn! Call it a asteroid for all I care...

Rather than posting tests you could simply press the preview button look at your post and then just not post it. But then it's obvious from the replies here that very few people use the preview button
