It's in Seaon 4. Endgame. The only way it could do that was cause they got accurate readings from the ground.
However Whitestars are atmosphere cabable as that and the next episode prove so who needs bombers indeed

um...yeah. plus TBP uses canon ships, and maybe some ships from AoG, but they're not really into inventing ones...they've got enough work (and demands from fans) to handle already

yes concentrate on everything else. but a flyable heavy support bomber that would look atleast from the outside to be flyable in an atmosphere would be cool.
