I'm currently working on my entry, but before I put the absolute finish on, I would like to know if we are supposed to follow the Reference pic?? or are we allowed a creative liscence?

Follow the reference pic for anything you can see clearly. Colours, major patterns, general style. Use your imagination for things you can't see clearly such as small surface details and the underside of the station.
