what is FS3 anyway? hrhrhr

lol

Well if you want me to tone down my praise then I will say that it is only excellent because it is the only TBP specific tutorial out there. What it does do is give you a fully functioning mission at the end of it, which is nice.

I do like to praise anybody's work that has had time and effort put in to it and is finished to a good quality.

you know what? i'm doing the walkthrough at the moment =D

but i've a question:

in the walkthrough there is

"Create two more events, "Sleipner 3 going in" and "Sleipner 4 going in". These must appear right after "Sleipner 2 going in", and be Chained so that they will happen in order. (Without chaining, Sleipner 4 would head in as soon as Sleipner 3 was destroyed, regardless of whether one of the other two transports was already docked with the GTD Relentless.) Make liberal use of Copy and Paste, but don't forget to edit the SEXPs so that each one refers to the correct ships within Sleipner wing. "

i understand why to chain the events, but i don't know HOW to chain these events

i mean - i know there is this box "Chained", but i don't know how to use it... on every "Sleipner going in" event or only on 3 or 4 or whatever?

Thats true, on both

Diogenes: Only on sleipner 3 and 4, it is simple cliky cliky

Chaining an event means that the event will only occur AFTER the event directly above it (i.e the event it is chained too) has become true.

Now it's been a while since I did the tutorial so I`m going off the top of my head here but from your discription slepnir 3 should only go in AFTER slepnir 2 has. Therefor you chain the slepnir 3 event.
If you chain the slepnir 2 event that that will only occur after whatever event is above it becomes true and that might not be what you want (then again it might be).
Anyway think about what you want to occur in the mission and then it should be fairly obvious whether to chain the event or not.

In the data/freddocs folder there's a mission named "shipyard_completed.fs2", or something similar. All it is is a perfect example of what your mission should be like after you're done with the walkthrough. It was even made by the Drake master himself. Open it up if you've got questions about what yours should look like.
