Ha....funny story about the movie....the sound for the action scenes is almost done...but there was a little quarrel how to present the credits, which isn't still solved yet. I guess Kaboom is still waiting for the list...oh...and....there is no logo at the end yet....means...not a good ending...but that shouldn't be of a great problem.

it is high res divx movie, 1.05 minutes i beleive, about 15Mb runs at 30fps

it will be about 20Mb maximum and will almost certainly be optional

Fahd: If there is a single-install file, I think the team will ask whoever writes it to check that it uninstalls properly. ... and yeah, there probably will be one, unofficial or official...heh, I could write it if I really wanted to.

(Of course, I'd probably screw it up, so mine would probably install TBP into, say, your Quake 3 directory, and you'd wonder why when you were busy railgunning someone, this little Starfury kept flying overhead )

How is this going to work? The code is set up for MVEs right? Did somebody edit the source to allow AVIs?

Well think about it.. the regular FS2 intro plays when you launch Freespace 2.. IE straight away.

Considering MVE encoding may prove impossible to get, we can just have the launcher play a full scree AVI, before launching Freespace 2.

OR....someone on the Source Code Project will implement DivX compression. This is a widely requested feature so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

Meanwhile, we'll be trying to make things happen like more proper Jump point behavior.

Now that would be funny, although I don't have Quake 3 installed at the moment :|
