Well, I think that they said something like that it reflects 80% of energy, like from beams. Any kinetic energy from something like a mass driver or missiles would be more effective in that case. However, I think that Vorlon and Shadow beams look like they are much more energy based, so the VCD armor would probably block a lot, but that remaining 20% will probably be just as or more powerful than anything the younger races have to throw at it still.
