-- Ugly textures in FS2 (http://volitionwatch.papageorgefamily/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=6217)

I've edited the registry entries but I haven't tested it yet. Will test it later today.

I have figured our what causes the game to crash. It seems the GF3 chip overheats. I haven't got any fan, just a sink. Anyone else with a similar overheat problem with GF3 Ti200 cards without fans?

You've got a GeForce 3 without a fan? Thats just asking for problems. For now, maybe you should crack open the case and blow a fan into there (open a window and get a second fan to blow the dust out ). Test the temperature around the chipset too.

The heat problem may be causing the graphical glitches. But turn off FSAA for now and see what happens. Take us some more pictures if you please as well.

Weird enough there's no power output on the video card itself (usually there are a set of three pins for power output for fans) so I can't use a regular VGA chip fan. I just ordered a fan that I can connect to the wires from the power supply. I hope it's good enough to cool the chip.

I've order a fan and I just installed it but the problem remains. This time it can't be because of an overheated chip (I've checked the chip temperature), it has to be due to other reasons.
Any advice or suggestions are welcome!
