-- Is Summoner 2 really only for PS 2 ??? (http://volitionwatch.papageorgefamily/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=6196)
Whlile i was looking for a release date for the network adapter i found that Sony are releasing a linux kit for the PS2. You get a 40Gb HDD, Keyboard, Mouse and Linux Distribution for PS2. Looked good untill the price tag £191 !! I suppose a huge chunk of that is the HDD tho.
Any the UK date for a network adapter is around christmas so a bit of a wait

PS2......................Network adapters..........................linux kit ...............
i got a few more questions about S2
1) is there a hidden movie like in S1
2) are the 4 riders back
3) doesnt S2 defeat the purpose that S1 had in storyline?
4) you have a party of 3 out of 6 right?

From what i've read S1 was a PS2 only title originally but got ported to PC a little later on. Perhaps the 'PS2 Exclusive' is only meant as it won't appear on GC or XBox. Wait,by all means let Volition know that you will buy a PC release but leave off all the ranting about how unfair it is, it's geting boring now.

Well Halo was originally going to be a Mac only game, because Bungie only made Mac games. Then they were taken over, and well, the rest you know....

I have it on Ps2, and if they released it for comp with multiplayer, I'd buy it immediately. (Yes, IMMEDIATELY)

Summoner 2 not on PC?
I'm a little bummed about Summ2 not coming out on PC (only on PS2). My daughter gave me SummI for Christmas for my PC and I really love it. I hope they'll change their minds <sigh> and make it for the PC too.

The interview movie on Summoner 2 is really, really bad and very NOT funny.
The Summoner Geeks playing D&D was awesome. It is a shame they couldn't duplicate that hilarity.

They weren't trying to be funny...Were they? Just seemed like a normal interview to me. Of course, I didn't find the S1 movie funny either.
I'm picking up Summoner: A Goddess Reborn (GC version of S2) next Friday. If anybody wants, I can tell you about it when I get it.
Well if Microsoft changed their mind about Halo, only X BOX to also PC. When you know that Microsoft is the company that only see and seek profit everywhere they can.
Maybe THQ and Volition should think of it.
Of course it's easier to port xbox game to PC games cause xbox is kinda a PC.
Btw porting need less effort than writing a game, so i really dont get the point not porting Volition hits from PS2 to PC
Well I don't know about the rest of you people, but I don't own nor play console games. I only play and purchase games for PC. I never plan to own a console either, because of the limited resolution on today's TV's (aprox. 640x480). HDTV will make console gameplay a little better, but it will never be as crisp and clear as on a PC with a very good high-resolution monitor.
So I'm hoping S2 will be released for PC, or I will just play S1 a couple more times, and then go find me another game series to play.
I agree with everything you said Coyote.
Also, sitting upright with good posture in a quality desk/computer chair is far more comfortable than slumping on a couch to game.
Further, you can keep notes, FAQs, etc in another window for easy use instead of having to print out the FAQs or notes.
Additionally, people can implement mods or hacks that fix annoying features of gameplay. Summoner 2 rocks, but I would love a hack that would reduce the RIDICULOUSLY absurdity of the status effects, 100-200% resistances, and knockdowns.
It is annoying that at the latest stages in the game, you have to swap weapons and swap damage enchantment rings/gloves every couple fights or else you are doing 1 damage.
