I played Descent back in the day, mostly multiplayer on Kali. I struggled with my patience about 1/3 the way through the single player version -- guess I just wasn't used to thinking in 3d yet

I played through RF on PS2 several times single player. RF PC was mostly a CTF multiplayer experience for me. Great fun while it lasted, but I wouldn't rank near the elite of the multiplayer FPS class.

And yes, I'm a FreeSpace nut! 1 and 2 were awesome.

I'm a Freespace avid player and an occasional RF player.

When I bought RF, I must confess it was more of a "well well, what to play this month" than anything else. Now it is sequestred in its box, while Freespace is still fully operational.

Was that the N64 Descent-esque shooter, later brought to PC (or vice-versa, can't remember)? I remember being intrigued by the 4-player split-screen at first, if it's the game I'm thinking of, but being underwhelmed overall.

To be honest, there haven't been too many Acclaim-published titles that I've enjoyed in any genre or on any platform. The Turok's had potential but made a lot of fundamental FPS errors (no toggle off for the lookspring while walking? UGH). The QB clubs were pretty inferior to the Madden titles...

...ah well, not to go off topic. So yeah, if it's the game I'm thinking of, I tried Forsaken but was never an avid player.

Dude thats not needed or wanted anywhere in RF. Every1 is entitled 2 there opinion and not 2 be called a n00b 4 expressing it. BTw u have played him yea? Otherwise how would u know if he was a n00b?
