And considering the Mac processor line and the P4/Athlon lines are radically different, a raw MHz-MHz comparison is functionally useless.

That's what I was thinking........ although I vagually recall the Mac G4 (? - latest one) uderperformed a bit on either F.P or int benchmarks compared to the CISI compurters.
