Its already going the wrong way, with all his anti-windows stupidity. He wants to be able to run is on Linux etc, when hardly anyone who's going to play it will be using linux.

Well, not debating you, Zero, but, how can you tell it's going the wrong way?
Only thing anyone is doing now is mentally masturbating on the subject? Not a line of code, a sentence of design documentation or more than one or 2 hard requirements even exist for it. Not to mention only a handful of people expressing enough interest to email a resume.
And Torque is fully cross platform, openGL and D3D, runs on Windows, Linux and MacOSX, and near as I can tell Crystal Space runs on both Windows and Linux as an OGL application.
He has short sighted reasons for disliking windows, but, cross platform is a good thing (especially for servers
).
Just need to find someone who has time to be in charge and maybe another programmer type. Till then, gauge interest, maybe collect some requirements and see what is there.
Topic is only a few days old. Projects of nearly ANY magnitude cannot take place in internet time, it's many months from "going the wrong way" even if it were starting today.
Scope, Design, Development, Test, Release. We're not even in "Scope" yet.
Blech, and I must stop using the word "we." Not even sure I have time for this.

Yeah. Kazan dislikes Windows for his own reasons (and we don't need to get into those) but he has said, IIRC, that it'll be Linux and Windows compatible, since he actually wants people to play this, should it ever get off the ground.

I don't think Kazan wants to be the leader....I don't think he has the sensibilities to be one...someone else needs to be there (not me) who has the vision, paitence, and skills to work on a project of that size with that kind of requirements.
It'll be interesting to see.

Yeah just as I thought, you just wanted to say something against him and kiss some ass along the way heh...
Anyway, aside from the neanderthalic behaviour, I really think the project is a terrific thing. Not only that it has got it's share of attention, but it really looks as a promising thing to become.
Anyway, I just think it is the best idea ever, because that way we can improve our community, not to mention the works that everyone else is doing...

Which was totally un-related to the project, just your attempt to flame Kazan...
