Yeah, but those exchange upgrades were supposed to have been finished in the middle of last year... and that was for the whole country.

BT are (as usual) dragging their heals because the services they currently have are much better for them (pocket-wise) than broadband.

In '99 BT made £1 billion *just* from dial-up users alone... if they were to switch even a small proportion of the country over to broadband, then they'd be loosing a lot of money, and as Fahd says, they're deep in debt now (although nowhere near as bad as NTL).

10 tracks of music, we've hit it now with a selection from ITF. Plus briefing and debriefing.

Also a couple of additions to arrival music and that sort of thing.

You know what's really depressing? Being a paltry 6 miles from the nearest Central Office that's wired for broadband...and being unable to get it...

Although I've downloaded the music, isn't its use slightly, shall we say, illegal due to copywrite laws etc?

yes most likely, its at least dubious, but as a time we've decided to use it until they tell us otherwise, they way i look at it is as long as theyre not losing music from it they shouldnt be too bothered, unless theyre just downright mean ! and theyre not so far as far im aware ....other b5 mods have official music for download and then there is musicofb5.com now if what we're doing it illegal.......

also the music we use is not full length tracks...so while the sea is calm we wont worry and i dont think we should worry for the time being
