all this geforce talk, what happened to ati?
I have the 32mb ddr radeon but plan to upgrade to Radeon 8500. I know the Geforce TI 500 is a abit better then the 8500 but its $50 and if ati gets it's act together on drivers the Radeon would (dare is say it!) surpass Nvidia in quality. Hail the mighty ATI who will destroy the mighty Nvidia Empire!

Abit mobos are good, smaller company then Asus and they have a new Via 266a mobo out. This is not to say Asus is bad, excellent mobos also.

PS recently got new comp

XP 1800
Creative Audigy
inspire 5.1 5300
Abit KG7 (AMD 761 chipset)
256 ddr Mb (soon to be 512)
32 mb ddr radeon (soon to be radeon 8500)

Bman; yes. The 8500's drivers at launch were awful, I think there's widespread agreement on that. But, they are improving - ATi's learned about driver support. Unfortunately, by the time it surpasses the GF3 Ti500, and surpasses it solidly enough to matter (and IMO it will, eventually) nVidia's new card (NV25 or whatever? Basically what will turn into the GeForce4) will be out. Whoops. ATi needs to come out ahead from the gates, as it were, instead of playing catch-up.
