If you never have mission with the player getting too close to the Drakh mothership, what would be the problem in having a medium poly but huge ship?

Who is to say that someone else doesn't. I'd rather like to have another Drakh ship at my disposal. But if its 52KM long then its totally inaccessible to most missions because of its size.

You'd have VERY low turret density and you'd have a really big ship that is basically a floating target. Yay. It can be big, but not that big is what im arguing.

I'll even write in a story of how there is a singular HUGE one and the rest being smaller. Thats the kind of compromise that sometimes has to be made.

Yeh drop the lenght of the mothership down to about 10km and the cruisers down to the lenght of the nova so when the mothership launches them it doesn't seem out of place. In the last episode of Crusade you see the mothership launching cruisers like fighters and them cruisers looked pretty darn small launching..

Dear God, they claim that the Omega is bigger than an Imperial class Star Destroyer! And that Drakh ship's length is half the diameter of the first Death Star! Look, I know that Babylon 5 is five miles long (approximately 8 kilometers) but don't you think that 1,714 meters is a LITTLE excessive for the Omega?

Actually no... B5 ships have always been huge.
Hyperion is around 1000 meters long, Olympus around 500 meters, G'Quan around 1400 meters, Primus around 1600 (long tail and antennas) and Sharlin around 1600 meters long (and very tall).

Seems very reasonable to me. I just imagine two or three Nimitz class carriers linked together and we're done.

The ships would have to be that big I'd imagine so that they could have the life support, propulsion, and weapon systems needed to fufill their goals.

And to carry troops if needed.I reckon the sizes are very reasonable, they aren't overly big....

Has anyone considered that we may never have seen the Drakh mothership?

Sure we have seen one that fits the siloette but it may be a smaller version.

Afterall we have seen a smaller version of the 3km cruiser in War Zone it was smaller than an omega pursuing it.

Also the 59km cruiser would unlikely ever be deployed into battle unless extreamly nessesary sine it would carry so much of thier people and would be their closest thing to a home world.

You could call it the Drakh C&C or summit.

Possible, but all this is pure speculation.

I think I mentioned that back a few messages.
