Question

Alright, another question. How do I shorten the time the animations remain onscreen? 10 seconds is too long for some of the messages, and I don't have voice files to put in the mission.

yeah except that mine is so old it can't even make the damn OpenGL drivers work properly.

P.S. im hopping to get a new card for christmas and I was wondering what kind of card you would suggest (unanimoulsy)for under $300 and that is PCI (my computer doesn't have an AGP slot, how pathetic is that?).

Personally, I'd invest in a new motherboard with a good AGP slot on it and get a less expensive video card that is AGP. I've noticed that most AGP cards cost less than their PCI equivalents, anyways (i.e. saw a Geforce2 MX PCI that was almost $20 more than the AGP version, and they were completely identical save for the bus type).

I`m thinking on getting a 64 meg Prophet, its only about £79.99 here wich I think is pretty good considering a 32 meg 3D card is £75.99

Yup, don't even bother getting a PCI video card. Umm, do they even sell them anymore?

If you don't have an AGP port on your motherboard, you probably aren't going to be taking advantage of the card regardless.

I believe you need to use an empty voice file.. not sure of the actual file name, but basically its a short burst of static.

Check the data/freddocs folder for some emptymsg.wav sounds. I believe these will cut the animation time down some. One that has always worked for me is the ever common generic.wav, which you can find in many a user-made mission.
